As Chair of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Malaysia 2026 Barebow Asia Championship to be held in Shah Alam National Sports Complex Panasonic, Selangor, Malaysia on 29 April to 3 May 2026, I would like to invite you all to be part of the events to take place in the Malaysia in 2026.
Shah Alam is the capital city of Selangor and one of the major planned cities in Malaysia. Located approximately 25 km from Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam serves as the state’s centre for administration, education, industry, and sports. The city is well known for its orderly environment, extensive green spaces, and comprehensive public facilities. One of its main landmarks is the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (Blue Mosque), one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia.
From 29 April to 3 May 2026, Shah Alam is expected to experience hot and humid weather, with maximum temperatures of around 31–33°C and night-time minimum temperatures of about 24–25°C, consistent with Malaysia’s tropical climate.

As Chairman of the Organizing Committe, I welcome all participant athletes, officials and all distinguished guests to the Malaysia 2026 Barebow Asia Championship.
I am please to inform you the the championship is organized through a collaborative effort to strengthen national integration between the community, sponsors, government agencies and private sectors. Therefore, we hope this championship will motivate and inspire more coordinated efforts to support barebow archery community at national and international levels. We are honoured to have participants from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Thus, we also hope this championship will bridge the gaps towards promoting social integration, economic development, peace, fraternity and solidarity among diverse communities.
To all the officials and participants, I hope you will enjoy your games and have a pleasant and memorable stay in Malaysia.

Four days of competition for an exceptional event with the best barebow archers in Asia.
Registration opens from 23rd January until 17th April 2026.
International participants need to register via Country’s Representatives of Barebow Asia Community. Registration form and proof of payment to NAAM’s account to be submitted by Country’s Representatives to Secretariat.

Shah Alam National Sports Complex Panasonic features a football field and a 400m synthetic running track that is well-maintained and open for public use.
The complex includes amenities such as a surau (prayer room), changing rooms, lockers, and a refreshment center. Food vendors and trucks are often available, especially during events.
